Volleyball Recap: Eastlake Takes a Loss

Eastlake lost against Torrey Pines back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Eastlake fell just short of Torrey Pines by a score of 3-2. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eastlake took Torrey Pines into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-12, 25-20, 22-25, 17-15.

Among those leading the charge was Beckett Ribeiro-Greenbaum, who had five digs and two aces. He is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 24 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Eastlake's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Torrey Pines, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Coming up, Eastlake will welcome Granite Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Granite Hills will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Eastlake surely won't give up without a fight. As for Torrey Pines, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against La Costa Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on April 8. Torrey Pines is facing La Costa Canyon at the right time seeing as La Costa Canyon is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
