Basketball Game Preview: Fayetteville Academy Eagles vs. Oak City Prep Bears

Fayetteville Academy is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Harrells Christian Academy just ended the team's 11-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Crusaders, falling 87-61. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-19.

Meanwhile, Oak City Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The match between them and New Life Christian Academy didn't end well, with Oak City Prep falling 91-73. The Bears were down 77-48 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Fayetteville Academy will need focus on slowing down Amazin Dixon, one of several Oak City Prep players who made an impact when they last played. He went 9 for 14 on his way to 22 points and eight assists. Dixon's evening made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Luke Rullo, who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and six rebounds.

Oak City Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Fayetteville Academy, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-8.
