Softball Recap: Mounds View Mustangs vs. Stillwater Ponies
Mounds View had lost 15 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 2-11 to make it 16. They fell 5-0 to the Stillwater Ponies. The shutout was out of character for the Mustangs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.
As for Stillwater, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-3. That's two games straight that they have won by exactly five runs.
For Stillwater's part, the result came thanks to Sienna Nelson's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks. Nelson has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
