Recap: Pinecrest Academy Paladins vs. Cherokee Christian Warriors
The Pinecrest Academy Paladins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 63-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cherokee Christian. While losing is never fun, Pinecrest Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 361st, while Cherokee Christian is ranked 134th).
Despite the loss, Pinecrest Academy still got an impressive performance from Johnny Lynch, who scored 27 points along with seven rebounds. The matchup was Lynch's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Matthew Mitchell, who scored nine points along with five assists.
Pinecrest Academy's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-7. As for Cherokee Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
