Baseball Recap: Albany Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Albany owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They came out on top against the San Leandro Pirates by a score of 4-0. The victory was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on four straight.

Max Eddy tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Mikey Richards was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. John Akl also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Albany's record is now 5-2. As for San Leandro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-2.

Coming up, Albany will venture away from home to square off against Oakland Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for San Leandro, they will welcome Arroyo at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give San Leandro their first taste of in-conference action this season.
