Softball Game Preview: Bethlehem Center Bulldogs vs. Avella Eagles

The Bethlehem Center Bulldogs will head out to take on the Avella Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Bethlehem Center has given up an average of 12.3 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bethlehem Center came up short against Jefferson-Morgan on Wednesday, falling 17-3. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jenna Pohill was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Stepp, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Avella fell victim to Carmichaels and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 17-0 to the Mighty Mikes.

Bethlehem Center's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Avella, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Bethlehem Center couldn't quite finish off Avella in their previous matchup on Tuesday and fell 9-7. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
