While Burroughs's win against Crescenta Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bears skirted past the Falcons 3-2. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Burroughs was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (103-102), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 18-25, 19-25, 15-9.

Burroughs' win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Crescenta Valley, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-5.

Coming up, Burroughs will challenge Village Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Crescenta Valley, they will square off against Westlake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
