Preview: Mitchell Bluejackets vs. Perry Central Commodores
Mitchell has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Perry Central Commodores at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Perry Central took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Mitchell, who comes in off a win.
On Tuesday, Mitchell didn't have too much trouble with West Washington at home as they won 64-48.
Perry Central suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They were dealt a 65-20 defeat at the hands of Orleans. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Perry Central in their matchups with Orleans: they've now lost five in a row.
Mitchell's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Perry Central, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
Mitchell and Perry Central were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but Mitchell came up empty-handed after a 54-53 loss. Can Mitchell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
