Baseball Recap: Kentwood Comes Up Short

Kentwood came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-4 to the Glacier Peak Grizzlies. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Conquerors have suffered since April 19, 2024.

Zach Hernandez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Kentwood's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Glacier Peak, their record is now 4-8.

Looking ahead, Kentwood will take on Tahoma at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glacier Peak, they will welcome Kamiak at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Grizzlies' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
