Baseball Game Preview: Baldwin Indians vs. West Nassau Warriors

The Baldwin Indians will venture away from home to challenge the West Nassau Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Baldwin came up short against St. Johns Country Day on Thursday, falling 8-2. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Baldwin saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mac Johnson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for West Nassau, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They skirted past Keystone Heights 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since February 11th.

West Nassau's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Baldwin, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Baldwin suffered a grim 10-4 defeat to West Nassau when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Can Baldwin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
