Baseball Recap: Round Top-Carmine Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Round Top-Carmine can now relate to. They came up short against the Fayetteville Lions on Thursday, falling 20-0. The shutout was out of character for the Cubs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

Round Top-Carmine now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Fayetteville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Round Top-Carmine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fayetteville, they will face off against Brookeland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
