Soccer Game Preview: King/Drew vs. Harbor Teacher

The King/Drew Golden Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Harbor Teacher Monarchs at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. King/Drew's last five matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Harbor Teacher will have to contend with a King/Drew team hungry for a win, something the squad hasn't seen since December 26. King/Drew and Locke finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Harbor Teacher was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against Port of Los Angeles, falling 4-0. That's two games in a row now that the Monarchs have lost by exactly four goals.

Harbor Teacher's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. With that draw, King/Drew's record moves to 9-7-4.

King/Drew took their victory against Harbor Teacher when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for King/Drew since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
