Football Game Preview: Rangeview Raiders vs. Erie Tigers + How To Watch

Rangeview is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. They will be playing at home against the Erie Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Rangeview knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Erie likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Rangeview was fully in charge, breezing past Liberty 41-7. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 21-0.

One reason for the win was Rangeview's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Daniel Jenkins and Avoryon Brown, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Meanwhile, Erie faced Broomfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Tigers slipped by the Eagles 26-25. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Erie didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Colt Heil and Lincoln Hageman. Hageman got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Rangeview's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Erie, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Rangeview has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 269.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Erie struggles in that department as they've been averaging 195.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
