Football Recap: Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian Piles Up the Points Against Wellpinit

The third road contest was the charm for Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian, as they earned their first away win of the season. They claimed a resounding 59-8 victory over the Wellpinit Redskins. That looming 59-8 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Lions yet this season.

Johnny Ferguson had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 118 yards and two TDs on only five carries, while also throwing for 105 yards and four touchdowns on only ten passes. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards. Anthony Moskvich was another key player, rushing for 132 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 261 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 159 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Wellpinit, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian will square off against Oroville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wellpinit, they will face off against SelPort at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
