Soccer Recap: Ionia Takes a Loss

After soaring to four goals the game before, Ionia was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They lost 8-0 to the Forest Hills Northern Huskies. While losing is never fun, Ionia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while Forest Hills Northern are ranked 19th).

Ionia's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Forest Hills Northern, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-1-6.

Ionia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Forest Hills Northern, they will be playing at home against Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Christian's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
