Football Game Preview: Leetonia Bears vs. Wellsville Tigers

Leetonia hasn't had much luck against Wellsville recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bears are taking a road trip to challenge the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Leetonia came up short against David Anderson on Friday, falling 41-21.

Meanwhile, Wellsville had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of United. The Tigers have struggled against the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Leetonia's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Wellsville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Leetonia took a serious blow against Wellsville when the teams last played back in September of 2024, falling 35-0. Thankfully for the Bears, Tyrell Watkins (who rushed for 155 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries, and also picked up 61 receiving yards and one score) won't be suiting up this time.
