Softball Recap: Stoneman Douglas Takes a Loss

Stoneman Douglas and Park Vista squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Stoneman Douglas had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cobras, falling 11-1. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Eagles, who until this game were averaging 3.17 runs allowed.

Stoneman Douglas saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Zajkowski, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Stoneman Douglas has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Park Vista, their record now sits at 15-5.

Stoneman Douglas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Park Vista, they will challenge Western at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cobras will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
