Baseball Recap: Port Jervis Comes Up Short

Port Jervis lost against Beacon back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Raiders came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 16-3. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Port Jervis saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kevin Mesnick, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Port Jervis' loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Beacon, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Port Jervis will take on Deposit-Hancock at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday. As for Beacon, they will face off against Warwick at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
