Football Game Preview: Oregon City Pioneers vs. Lakeridge Pacers + How To Watch

Oregon City is 2-7 against Lakeridge since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Pioneers are taking a road trip to challenge the Pacers at 7:00 p.m. Lakeridge took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Oregon City, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Oregon City made easy work of Skyview and carried off a 33-7 win. The Pioneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 26 points or more this season.

A big part of Oregon City's victory came down to the chemistry between Kaeden Emerson and his top target Cavan Rogers. Emerson threw for 214 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Rogers picked up 175 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Lakeridge faced Central Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Pacers were just a hair shy of victory and fell 14-13 to the Rams. The Pacers have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The win made it two in a row for Oregon City and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 10 points in those games. As for Lakeridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Oregon City took a serious blow against Lakeridge when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 36-0. Can the Pioneers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
