Football Game Preview: Bishop Stang Spartans vs. St. Mary's Spartans

Bishop Stang is 0-5 against St. Mary since April of 2021 but things could change on Friday. Bishop Stang will be playing at home against St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. Bishop Stang will be strutting in after a win while St. Mary's will be coming in after a defeat.

Bishop Stang is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Arlington Catholic 42-8. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, St. Mary's came up short against Shawsheen Valley Tech on Friday and fell 14-7.

The win got Bishop Stang back to even at 2-2. As for St. Mary's, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Bishop Stang suffered a grim 33-7 defeat to St. Mary's in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bishop Stang was down 27-0.
