Recap: Humboldt Hawks vs. St. Paul Central Minutemen
The Humboldt Hawks lost against the St. Paul Central Minutemen back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Humboldt ended up on the wrong side of a rough 56-30 walloping at the hands of St. Paul Central. Humboldt has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
St. Paul Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cynara Easley, who scored 20 points. Easley continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Regina Williams, who scored 13 points.
Humboldt has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for St. Paul Central, their win ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-9.
Humboldt will head out on the road to face off against Harding at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Paul Central and Como Park will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Como Park presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than St. Paul Central in Minnesota (Como Park is ranked 117th, while St. Paul Central is ranked 390th).
