Football Recap: Forestview Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The Forestview Jaguars didn't have quite enough to beat the Smoky Mountain Mustangs on Friday and fell 22-19.

Cooper Phillips threw for 161 yards and one touchdown. Achilles Littlejohn was his top target, picking up 98 receiving yards. On the ground, Palaris Newsome rushed for 69 yards.

Leading Smoky Mountain to victory were Rylee Smith and Hunter Cole. Smith rushed for 188 yards and one score while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, while Cole rushed for 40 yards and a pair of TDs.

Forestview now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Smoky Mountain, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Forestview has already played their next matchup, a 42-28 win against Lake Norman Charter on the 12th. As for Smoky Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 29-14 loss against Pisgah on the 12th.
