Softball Recap: Foxcroft Academy Comes Up Short

Foxcroft Academy fell victim to Mattanawcook and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Lynx, falling 6-0. The Ponies just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Foxcroft Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jadenne Frigon, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Those hits were Frigon's first of the season.

Foxcroft Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Mattanawcook, their victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foxcroft Academy will venture away from home to face off against Dexter at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Ponies' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Mattanawcook, they will square off against Bucksport at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Bucks will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Lynx surely won't give up without a fight.
