Basketball Recap: Christian Heritage Academy Comes Up Short

Christian Heritage Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 34-20 bruising from the Faith Christian Warriors. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-20 last Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Christian Heritage Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Emma Quinn posted six points. The dominant performance gave Quinn a new career-high in points.

Faith Christian found their leader in sophomore Lillia Joseph, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards. Joseph also set a new season-high mark in blocks with five. Ava Glaze was another key player, putting up nine points.

Christian Heritage Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Faith Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-9.

Christian Heritage Academy will head out to face off against Dayspring Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Faith Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 50-46 loss against Temple Christian on the 24th.
