Baseball Recap: Chewelah Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Chewelah can now relate to. They fell just short of the Freeman Scotties by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Scotties: they've now lost three in a row.

Chewelah saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Jeanneret, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Chewelah's defeat dropped their record down to 22-4. As for Freeman, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-2.

As of now, neither Chewelah nor the Scotties have any future games scheduled.
