Recap: Peddie Falcons vs. Hun Raiders
The Peddie Falcons''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Hun, falling 56-13. Peddie has struggled against Hun recently, as their game on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Hun's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryce Kania, who picked up 48 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Jack Moran was another key contributor, throwing for 192 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Peddie's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 6-1 Pennington (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 62.5% over those games). As for Hun, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Peddie will head out on the road to face off against Blair Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Blair Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 135th, while Peddie is ranked 37th). As for Hun, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wyoming Seminary College Prep at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
