Football Recap: Northwood Falcons vs. North DeSoto Griffins
After flying high against Mansfield last Friday, Northwood came back down to earth. The Falcons lost 52-26 to the North DeSoto Griffins on Friday. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Griffins recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Northwood lost, don't look at John Sneed. Despite the final result, he rushed for 70 yards and one score on only seven carries, and also caught one touchdown.
It was another big night for Braelyn Latin, who rushed for 161 yards and three TDs for North DeSoto. With that strong performance, Latin is now averaging an impressive 108 rushing yards per game. Luke Delafield was another key player, throwing for 173 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 16 passes.
Having lost for the first time this season, Northwood fell to 3-1. As for North DeSoto, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.
