Phillips came up big in Taft's 9-1 win
Chase Phillips produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Taft to the win on Tuesday. Phillips was dynamite, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit while striking out eight over seven innings pitched.
Phillips' strong effort led Taft over Kennedy and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
