Basketball Game Preview: Catoosa Indians vs. Hilldale Hornets

Catoosa is 1-9 against Hilldale since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Catoosa Indians will challenge the Hilldale Hornets at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Catoosa is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They were dealt a 79-17 defeat at the hands of Fort Gibson. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-11.

Olivia Bowen was Catoosa's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Hadley Mcgrew held things down on the boards with five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Hilldale played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Locust Grove and fell 72-17. The Hornets have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Catoosa's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Hilldale, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Catoosa was taken down by Hilldale 56-20 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Catoosa was down 39-8.
