After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mechanicsville, Highland Springs was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Varina Blue Devils. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Highland Springs took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 25-11.

Highland Springs has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Varina, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
