Baseball Game Preview: Beaver Local Beavers vs. United Golden Eagles

The Beaver Local Beavers are taking a road trip to take on the United Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Beaver Local sitting on three straight wins and United on four.

Beaver Local came out on top against East Liverpool on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Beavers walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Potters.

AJ Bowser made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over 4.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI. Beaver Local is undefeated when Bowser posts two or more runs, but 4-6 otherwise.

Bowser wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Paxton Grimes, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Beaver Local hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive games.

Meanwhile, United posted their closest win since April 25, 2025 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past West Branch 5-3.

Beaver Local's record now sits at 9-6. As for United, their record is now 9-2.

Beaver Local couldn't quite finish off United in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 and fell 5-3. Can the Beavers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
