Basketball Game Preview: Bergen Catholic Crusaders vs. Gill St. Bernard's Knights

The Bergen Catholic Crusaders will venture away from home to challenge the Gill St. Bernard's Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bergen Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Gill St. Bernard's likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Bergen Catholic against Paramus Catholic as the team secured a 70-42 win. The victory continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Paladins: they've now won nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Gill St. Bernard's faced Patrick School in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Gill St. Bernard's lost 87-65 to Patrick School. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Knights have suffered since February 15, 2024.

Gill St. Bernard's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Bergen Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 21-4.

Bergen Catholic strolled past Gill St. Bernard's in their previous matchup back in February of 2021 by a score of 78-63. Will Bergen Catholic repeat their success, or does Gill St. Bernard's have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
