Austin waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They breezed past the Irvin Rockets to the tune of 28-0. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly 28 points.

Rene Lujan threw for 33 yards. Andruw Andujo was his top target, picking up 33 receiving yards. On the ground, Roberto Flores rushed for 129 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 carries.

Austin's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Irvin, they moved to 3-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Austin is set to face off against their familiar foe Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 944 yards in their previous games. Meanwhile, Irvin will take on rival Ysleta at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Dallas Medina and Rodrigo Martinez.
