Baseball Recap: Tri-City Christian Takes a Loss

Escondido Charter hit Tri-City Christian with a seven-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles lost 14-5 to the Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 28-0 loss on Wednesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Tri-City Christian and nudges their season record down to 3-13. As for Escondido Charter, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-City Christian will challenge Calvin Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Crusaders at the right time seeing as the Crusaders are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Escondido Charter, they will face off against Coastal Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Stingrays have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
