Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Fionah Parajes and Samantha Butler Lead Lafayette Christian to Victory

Lafayette Christian hadn't done well against Harvester Christian Academy recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Cougars blew past the Hawks 3-0. The Cougars were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Hawks, so the Cougars were just returning the favor.

The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 25-17.

Leading Lafayette Christian to victory were Samantha Butler and Fionah Parajes. Butler had four aces and three digs, while Parajes had 13 digs and one assist. Those four aces gave Butler a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Lafayette Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in 27 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Lafayette Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. As for Harvester Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
