Volleyball Recap: Nordonia Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Nordonia was the 3-0 winner over Strongsville when they last played one another back in September of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 19-25, 25-17, 25-23.

Despite the defeat, Nordonia had strong showings from Aleah Sopata, who had seven digs and two aces, and Avery Palinkas, who had 16 assists and three digs. Palinkas is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Nordonia's loss ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-6. As for Strongsville, their record now sits at 18-4.

Nordonia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Shaker Heights on the 20th. As for Strongsville, they will challenge Elyria at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
