Basketball Recap: Leslie County Comes Up Short

Leslie County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Whitley County Colonels, falling 56-33. The Eagles were probably out for revenge after losing 62-49 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Leslie County's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Whitley County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leslie County will challenge Non Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitley County has already played their next contest (against Corbin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
