The Pirates had just enough and edged out the Huskies  4-3 on Saturday. The  win was familiar territory for the Pirates, who have now won three  games in a row.
Hudson's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 6-3. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Nashua-Plainfield,  they are  on  a  ten-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.
 Coming up, Hudson will head out to  square off against Aplington-Parkersburg  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Nashua-Plainfield, they will square off against North Butler at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Bearcats' pitching crew has only allowed four  runs per game  this season, so the Huskies' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
