Softball Recap: Albany Drops Highest Score of Season Against St. James

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Albany). They put the hurt on the St. James Wildcats with a sharp 15-5 win on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hornets needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Albany's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-11. As for St. James, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Coming up, Albany is taking a road trip to face off against Springfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Springfield has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.21 runs per game on average), something Albany will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for St. James, a feisty cat fight will be fought as St. James Wildcats duke it out with Berwick Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
