Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] suffers third straight loss on the road

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]'s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Arapahoe on the road and fell 64-24. Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] has not had much luck with Arapahoe recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] saw an underclassman step up: Ellaray Koch scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Koch pulled down eight or more rebounds.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Arapahoe racked up 20 assists.

Leading Arapahoe to victory were Berkley Warner and Cadence Carpenter. Warner scored 12 points along with seven steals and six assists, while Carpenter dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Warner is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckenzie Ewoldt, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]'s defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-12. As for Arapahoe, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] and Overton will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Overton is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games. As for Arapahoe, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Axtell. Axtell comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
