Basketball Recap: Scott County Comes Up Short

Scott County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Vestavia Hills Rebels an easy 78-53 win. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 91-56 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.

Scott County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Vestavia Hills, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Scott County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Jessamine at 8:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Vestavia Hills and Pelham will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
