Soccer Recap: Aurora Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lakeview last Thursday, Aurora came back down to earth. The Huskies fell 4-2 to the Kearney Catholic Stars on Tuesday. Aurora were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kearney Catholic apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Aurora's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Kearney Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Aurora will take on rival Crete at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Kearney Catholic is set to square off against their familiar foe North Platte at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
