Football Recap: Elmwood Park Takes a Loss

Elmwood Park lost against Riverside-Brookfield back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers had to suffer through a 67-8 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 469th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 157th).

Daniel Dohoney threw for 72 yards on only five passes.

Riverside-Brookfield can attribute much of their success to Damian Renteria, who rushed for 55 yards and one touchdown. That's the most rushing yards Renteria has posted since back in October of 2024.

Elmwood Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Riverside-Brookfield, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elmwood Park will welcome Streamwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Riverside-Brookfield, they will host West Chicago at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
