Football Game Preview: Central Indians vs. Staley Falcons

Central is 0-6 against Staley since October of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Indians will host the Falcons at 7:00 p.m.

Things were looking good for Central after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 28-14 bruising from Park Hill South. The game marked the Indians' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Staley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Raymore-Peculiar, sneaking past 20-17. The victory was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Central better keep an eye on Lance Holsted. He was instrumental in Staley's win, rushing for 186 yards and two scores while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, and also picking up 62 receiving yards and one TD. Those 186 rushing yards gave Holsted a new career-high.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Staley, their record is now 3-6.
