Baseball Recap: North Jackson Comes Up Short

North Jackson lost against North Sand Mountain back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The North Jackson Chiefs came up short against the North Sand Mountain Bison, falling 16-2. The Chiefs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for North Sand Mountain, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Jackson will challenge Section at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. North Jackson has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for North Sand Mountain, they will take on Glencoe at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in North Sand Mountain's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Glencoe has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
