Ukiah won the last time they faced Maria Carrillo and things went their way on Friday too. The Wildcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pumas, sneaking past 4-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Jaxon Mellus tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Davon Dockins, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Sterling Wright III was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Ukiah's record is now 12-10. As for Maria Carrillo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Ukiah will challenge Casa Grande at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Maria Carrillo, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 loss against Windsor on the 2nd.
