Softball Recap: Providence Day Comes Up Short

Providence Day fell victim to Charlotte Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 8-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Chargers were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Providence Day and nudges their season record down to 6-4. As for Charlotte Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Providence Day and Charlotte Christian will both be playing Charlotte Latin the next time they take the field. The Knights will host the Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Chargers will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
