Volleyball Recap: Thompsonville Comes Up Short

Thompsonville lost against Crab Orchard two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Thompsonville fell 2-0 to Crab Orchard. Thompsonville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Thompsonville ultimately came up short, they really made Crab Orchard work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 26-13.

WITLIE WOODRING paced Thompsonville's offense, picking up five kills. WOODRING got some help from AMILYA WILLIFORD and her six assists. Finally, Kailyn Kahl kept Thompsonville's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Thompsonville's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Crab Orchard, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Thompsonville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Galatia on the 2nd. As for Crab Orchard, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Zeigler-Royalton on the 2nd.
