Softball Recap: Isle of Wight Academy Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Isle of Wight Academy's offense. They lost 8-0 to the Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association Patriots on Tuesday. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Isle of Wight Academy and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Isle of Wight Academy will head out to square off against Atlantic Shores Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, they will venture away from home to face off against St. Catherine's at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Saints will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
