Baseball Recap: Joliet Central Comes Up Short

Joliet Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plainfield South Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 on Monday.

Joliet Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-27. As for Plainfield South, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-16 record this season.

Joliet Central will square off against Romeoville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Plainfield South will be paying especially close attention to the Steelmen's game: after the Steelmen face off against the Spartans, they'll take on Plainfield South again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
